I’m feeling a little sorry for myself today after completing True Grit over the weekend but that makes the experience all the more fun!! True Grit is the first Australian designed military style obstacle course of its kind and spans over 10-12km with over 30 obstacles to tackle. The course is testing and exhausting but one hell of an experience that I would encourage most people to try!
Getting ready to take off! The cleanest we will be for the next few hours.
2nd Obstacle, straight into a freezing cold swim!
Unfortunately there was a bit of a hold up with this one, approx. 150 people waiting to climb this rock and only 2 at a time -_-
Sandbag carry up the hill and back
The bear crawl training came in handy
I can’t go under it, I’ll have to go over it!
Dean and Tim nailed the rope climb.
The source of most of my aches today, the rope traverse.
Smartass, dancing on course :P
Mid-race snack :D
Usain Bolting that shit across the pontoons!
Tims epic landing!
Freezing cold creek walk
Mud, glorious mud!
Second Last obstacle!
Amazing teamwork getting up that ramp.
Final team huddle and crossing that damn finish line with a beer or sangria waiting for us!
Special mention to this legend, Dani! Thank you for pushing our sorry asses through the course and congrats on your Bronze Medal! 3 True Grits completed, woot woo!! Completed in 2hrs and 57 mins but with the hold up at Obstacle 3 we could have done much better.
I would love to hear your battle stories if you completed True Grit over the weekend so leave a comment below!
